Kemptville Salvation Army “Fill a Bag” campaign brings in 2,500 bags of donations

Members of the Kemptville Salvation Army are thanking the people of Kemptville for their support of a recent initiative.

According to a social media post from the organization, this year’s “Fill a Bag” campaign was a success.

The annual program sees volunteers for the Salvation Army dropping off bags at residences in the community, asking residents to fill them with non-perishable food items that volunteers can pick up a week later.

This year’s initiative brought in 2,500 bags full of food for the organization.

“Nearly everyday since, we’ve had community groups coming to sort food,” the post reads. “Thank you North Grenville for giving so generously to those in need.”
