Members of the Kemptville 73s organization are thanking everyone who contributed to their recent toy drive.
The “Toy Mountain” initiative saw the Junior A hockey team collecting donations of new, unwrapped toys at the December 2nd home game against the Carleton Place Canadians.
Staff members say 142 toys were donated at the event. According to the organization, they’ll be donated to kids in households that might not normally be able to afford them over the holidays.
The 73s also won the game against the Canadians, 5-4 in a shootout. You view the team’s schedule on its website.
