United Counties seeking new members for Accessibility Advisory Committee

Leeds-Grenville residents are being invited to have a hand in making the community easier to live in for people with disabilities.

The United Counties are accepting applications for new members of its Accessibility Advisory Committee.

Members are responsible for raising awareness of accessibility issues through working with local businesses, and gathering feedback from members of the community with initiatives like the survey run earlier in the fall.

According to the United Counties website, if you want to apply, you need to be at least 18, live within the United Counties, and have “knowledge of accessibility issues.” You’ll also need to be able to attend daytime meetings, and not be a municipal council member or employee.
