Municipality of North Grenville, Rotary Club preparing for Santa Claus Parade

Santa Claus is coming to town in a few weeks, and registration is open to travel through Kemptville with him.

The Municipality of North Grenville and Rotary Club of Kemptville are looking for volunteers to take part in, and help run, this year’s Santa Claus Parade.

If you’re interested in having a float in the parade, which is happening November 19th, North Grenville Recreation Coordinator Tammy Hurlbert says there’s no fee to take part.

“We’re encouraging registration by November 16th to give us time to work out the parade line up,” she says, “however we will accommodate late registrations as long as we have space.” Hurlbert says she expects there to be enough space for everyone interested.

Meanwhile, if you want to contribute to the parade but aren’t interested in having a float, Hurlbert says barricade monitors will be needed to make sure cars don’t interrupt the parade.

You can find more info on the rules for parade floats, a sign-up sheet, and a volunteer form for barricade monitors on the Municipality of North Grenville’s social media pages.
