IPM 2022: Plowing competition begins in Kemptville

Rain or shine, the 2022 International Plowing Match and Rural Expo (IPM) is moving forward in Kemptville this week.

The five-day farming festival’s plowing competition began Wednesday morning.

If you’re interested in spectating the competition, which is happening over the course of the next four days, you’ll be able to see the fields at 1243 County Road 43.

Parking is available there, but if you can’t find a spot, IPM organizers say you can also park at the main festival site on Bedell Road and take a shuttle bus to the plowing site.

Meanwhile, the Municipality of North Grenville is warning residents to expect increased traffic throughout the area this week while the IPM continues, so commuters passing through town might want to leave home a few minutes earlier than usual.

You can read more about the Plowing Match and view the full event schedule on the IPM website.
