According to OPP officers, two Ottawa residents have been arrested in South Grenville.

OPP Detective Inspector Lee Fulford, a member of the police service’s Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, says the incident was a long time coming.

“As a result of a six-month firearms trafficking investigation led by the Ottawa Police Service and assisted by the Canada Border Services Agency, OPP officers from the Provincial Weapons Enforcement Unit and Grenville County Detachment executed a traffic stop on Highway 401, east of Prescott on September 7, 2022,” Fulford says. “Cornwall Police Service also assisted with enforcement action in the City of Cornwall.”
