Nominations open for 2022 Leeds Grenville Immigrant Entrepreneur Award

The St. Lawrence-Rideau Immigration Partnership is making preparations to recognize an internationally-born business owner in our region.

The organization, which helps immigrants in our area by connecting them with resources like employment agencies and English tutors, has opened nominations for its eighth annual Leeds Grenville Immigrant Entrepreneur Award.

The award is meant to recognize the work and dedication of immigrant business owners in our community.

Last year’s winner was Marc Gomez Segu, the owner of a Spanish restaurant in Prescott.

Nominees need to live and work in the Leeds-Grenville area, and have been born outside Canada, but there’s no limit to how many people you can nominate.

You can submit a nomination on the St. Lawrence-Rideau Immigration Partnership’s social media pages. They’re being accepted until September 9th.
