NG Pride announces monthly “Queer Peer Support” meetings

North Grenville Pride has announced a new series of monthly “Queer Peer Support” meetings for queer and questioning teens and their families.

The meetings are being run by Megan Cumming, the organization’s facilitator of Queer Peer Support. Cumming is also a registered psychotherapist, and the CEO of the Kemptville Stress Relief Centre.

“Our first session will be July 5th, with a 5:00 PM session for queer teens and a 6:00 PM session for parents of queer and questioning kids,” the announcement reads. “Meetings will be one hour in length and somewhat structured, but mostly group-led.”

The meetings are being held virtually. NG Pride’s Facebook page has details on how to sign up to take part.
