Kemptville Folk Club, Street Piano organizer partnering for “Folky Father’s Day”

A group of local musicians is teaming up with Ottawa-based folk singer Arthur McGregor for an outdoor event to celebrate Father’s Day.

The Kemptville Folk Club, a group of folk music enthusiasts in our community, and Lisa Poushinsky, the organizer of the Kemptville Street Piano outdoor concert series, are hosting the “Folky Father’s Day” event this weekend.

According to Poushinsky, spectators are being invited to take part in the performance.

“Copies of Rise Up Singing will be available to borrow,” she says, “and players with portable instruments are invited to strum along.”

The performance is happening at the Street Piano outside the North Grenville Public Library, from 1:00 to 3:00 in the afternoon on Sunday, June 19th. Poushinsky says it’s free to attend.
