MPP Clark supports bill to treat all ATV's equally

Leeds-Grenville MPP Steve Clark has launched a petition supporting a Private Member’s Bill to update an outdated section of the Highway Traffic Act and treat all ATVs equally.
Bill 58, introduced by MPP Norm Miller of Parry Sound-Muskoka amends a Regulation of the HTA to allow side-by-side, four-seat side-by-side and two-up all-terrain vehicles on Ontario roadways under the same conditions as other ATVs. Last July, in a Member’s Statement on behalf of the many ATV riders from Leeds-Grenville who have contacted him, Clark urged the government to act on the changes to the regulation, which were supported by all MPPs in November 2013. Clark said he’s disappointed the minister has failed to get it in gear, but he’s pleased the bill will be up for debate next month.
