If you’re looking to replace some furniture, you might be able to get some for free in North Grenville this weekend.
Residents are being encouraged to leave unwanted reusable household items, like furniture, small appliances, or cookware, at the curb for a “Curbside Giveaway Weekend.”
Municipal staff are encouraging people to take part, to reduce waste in our community by letting unwanted items go to people who can find a use for them. A similar event was held at the end of May in Prescott.
Staff say anything you want to leave out for the event should be clearly marked as “free,” and you should bring anything that’s not picked up by the end of the day on Sunday back into your home.
