“Art on the Waterfront” returns for 10th anniversary in Chesterville this weekend

Two years after the last Art on the Waterfront Festival, organizer Cheryl Beasley says the event is returning in a few days.

“This is our tenth anniversary,” Beasley says. “We have artists from all walks of life, and it’s an all-inclusive art festival.”

“You have martial artists, dance, music, we have buskers this year, kids’ shows, we offer the kids to do a talent show, they also do coloring contests, we sometimes get them to color chalk on the pavement, so there’s something for everybody.”

The event, being held in Chesterville, is happening on June 4th and 5th.

Beasley also says it’s free to attend the festival.

“There’s no cost. We fundraised for this, we get money from Canadian Heritage, we get grants from [The Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry United Counties], and we have amazing community support. So, basically, it’s free.”

Beasley says the opening ceremony will begin at 10:00 AM on the 4th, and a full schedule for both days is available on the Art on the Waterfront website.
