Oxford Mill Waste Transfer Station accepting some storm debris for free until June 5th

If you’ve got a yard full of branches after the recent storm in our area, you’ll have a chance to get rid of them in a few days.

Mayor Nancy Peckford says our community’s Waste Transfer Station in Oxford Mills will be accepting tree and branch debris for disposal at no charge for the next few days.

According to Peckford, you’ll need to haul anything you want the transfer station to take in yourself. The service is also only being offered for North Grenville residents.

Branches longer than four feet won’t be accepted. You also won’t be able to turn over any branches more than two inches thick. “No rocks or stumps please,” Peckford adds.

The Waste Transfer Station will be accepting the branches during normal business hours, so if you want to drop them off this week, you’ll need to deliver them on Friday or Saturday, between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Peckford says they’ll also be accepted next week, in the same hours on May 31st, June 3rd, and June 4th.
