Kemptville Salvation Army fundraising fashion show brings in nearly $2,000

The local Salvation Army branch is thanking Moose FM announcer Chris Walker, along with the models and other participants, for their help with its recent charity fashion show.

The show, held on May 7th, raised $1,942 for the Salvation Army’s Partners in Mission campaign, helping support its humanitarian work in other parts of the world.

“Thank you to everyone who volunteered, to our incredible Thrift Store staff, to the models who participated from [Models International Management in Ottawa], those who came out to support the event and of course, the patrons who helped us see record sales in the one hour exclusive shopping event that followed the show,” the organization says on Facebook.

“A very special thanks to Chris Walker, local radio personality who emceed, and brought his A game – wit and humour to make it an extra-special fundraiser!”

If you weren’t able to attend the fashion show, a recap video has been posted to YouTube. You can find a link on the Kemptville Salvation Army Facebook page.
