The Spencerville Mill is getting a $20,000 facelift, thanks to the Canada Cultural Spaces Fund. Leeds Grenville MP Gord Brown made the announcement Thursday, on behalf of Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages Shelly Glover. The money will be used for renovations, improving the physical condition of the historic Spencerville Mill while providing the community with better access to cultural activities. .
The funding will go towards updating the mill’s fire safety and lighting systems, which will allow for the expansion of the available space used by the community as a venue for cultural events.
