North Grenville runs out of Pitch-In Week bags, more on the way

If you were hoping to help clean up our community this week, you might need to wait a few more days.

“North Grenville has once again shown tremendous community spirit by actively taking part in Pitch-In Week – so much so that we have run out of Pitch-In bags,” the municipality says in a statement.

Pitch-In Week in North Grenville began on April 17th, with volunteers collecting litter around our area in waste bags provided by Pitch-In Canada, an environmental organization that’s organized cleanup events like this since 1967.

According to the municipality, around 400 bags have been given out so far, and more are on the way, but it’s unknown when they’ll arrive.

If you’re still working on filling up the bags you have, the municipality is also reminding you not to leave them by the side of the road, or on people’s private property.

Pitch-In Week ends on April 24th. If you want to take part, you can find more details on the municipality website.
