You might feel the ground shaking in some parts of Merrickville over the next few weeks.
Noremac Drillers, a White Lake-based company, has announced blasting and drilling being done in the Merrickville Grove Subdivision throughout most of April.
The company says three loud whistles will sound before every blast to make sure residents know what’s happening when they go off.
Vibrations in the ground are being monitored by an Ottawa-based engineering firm to make sure they don’t cause any unintended damage.
The blasting starts on Monday, April 4th, and will last until the 20th.
