Kemptville District Hospital updates visitor policy

With COVID-19 restrictions easing, the Kemptville District Hospital says they still have some rules visitors need to follow.

The hospital is limiting patients to two fully vaccinated visitors at a time. However, being fully vaccinated means two different things depending on where you’re visiting a patient. Those visiting in the medical-surgical unit will only need two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, while those in convalescent and interim long-term care must have three doses.

In addition, all visitors are asked to continue to wear PPE and maintain physical distancing when coming to see a patient. The hospital plans to encourage outdoor visits when appropriate as warmer weather approaches.
