For the first time ever, eight community health partners are joining together in Ottawa to tackle smoking. The Lanark, Leeds Grenville District Health Unit announced the “My Quit” meeting will happen this morning, Jan. 21 at City Council Chambers. Guests will include Minister of Long Term Health and Wellness Dipika Damerla, Medical Officers of Health and representatives from regional health units. The MyQuit program is an innovative program for smokers living in Eastern Ontario who are looking to quit or reduce their tobacco use.
