We might be getting some traffic lights on the County Road 43 overpass in a few years.
Dillon Consulting Limited, the company hired by the Ontario government to study the overpass and propose design changes, says it wants to add lights to the turn-off from both the east and west Highway 416 exits onto County Road 43.
It’s also proposing adding a second lane to the west exit to help improve the flow of traffic.
Other less significant changes Dillon recommends include replacing any old culverts around the intersections and moving some signs on the 416.
The company says it expects construction on these changes to begin in 2024, as long as they’re approved by the province. You can read the full breakdown of the proposed changes here.
