Health Unit: School Immunization Catch-Up Program resumes March 21st

Kids who are behind on some of their vaccine doses will have a chance to catch up at a local clinic soon.

The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit has announced its “School Immunization Catch-Up Program” is starting again later this month. The program immunizes kids against diseases like Hepatitis B and HPV.

“Starting March 21st, 2022, we will be providing these vaccines in our clinic locations where the COVID- 19 vaccine is being offered,” says Jennifer Adams, the manager of the organization’s Healthy Living and Development Department. “These vaccines will not be offered in schools this year and eligibility is grade dependent.”

Appointment booking opens on March 14th. The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit’s website has booking details.
