North Grenville Public Library adds 150 new French books

If you want to teach your child French, the North Grenville Public Library has added some new books to its collection that can help.

The library’s CEO, Rachel Brown, says the library has added 150 new French-language books for young readers. “The collection improvement is focused on books that respond to the growing needs of the community,” Brown says, “including building the young adult collection, adding more graphic novels, and adding more picture books about diversity.”

The expansion was funded by a grant the library received from the Conseil des écoles publiques de l’Est de l’Ontario, a French school board in the region. Donations from some local businesses also went towards buying the books.

Brown is thanking the school board, businesses, and French Library Services Coordinator Kathy Moss, for helping make the expansion happen.
