$11,000+ raised for Connect Youth at Coldest Night of the Year

More than 60 people took to the streets for the “Coldest Night of the Year” to help raise money for a local charity.

The event, which was held on Saturday, raised $11,685 for Connect Youth, a Prescott-based organization that helps at-risk young people in our community, with things like an after school drop-in program and several apartments for homeless people in the Leeds-Grenville region.

62 people participated in the event, collecting donations from other people in the community before walking through Brockville, Kemptville and Spencerville, to raise awareness for homelessness in our community.

Connect Youth is thanking everyone who donated or participated for their help, and says donations are still being accepted. Visit the Coldest Night of the Year website to see how to donate.
