“GOVAXX” mobile COVID-19 vaccine clinic coming to Smiths Falls

A new place to get vaccinated against COVID-19 is coming to Smiths Falls later this week.

The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit has announced that Ontario’s “GOVAXX” mobile vaccine clinic will be stopping at the Smiths Falls Curling and Squash Club on January 20th, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The clinic, which operates out of a bus, will be offering first and second doses to anyone five years of age or older, and booster shots to anyone eligible.

Walk-in appointments won’t be available at the clinic. To book an appointment, the health unit says you’ll have to use the provincial booking portal rather than the local website. If you’d rather organize it over the phone, you can also call the health unit or the Provincial Vaccine Contact Centre to book an appointment.

Appointment slots for the GOVAXX clinic open up on January 19th, starting at 8:00 AM.
