Mayor Nancy Peckford: new vaccine clinics opening locally in January

Mayor Nancy Peckford says the province’s recent announcement isn’t an easy pill to swallow. The Ontario government announced Monday that the province is returning to a modified Step-Two of its Reopening Plan starting January 5th.

In order to help limit the spread of COVID-19 in North Grenville, Peckford says more vaccine clinics will be opening in the area over the next few weeks. “More info will be forthcoming shortly,” she says. “ We are also working actively with MPP Steve Clark to accelerate the distribution of rapid tests in our area.”

Mayor Peckford is encouraging everyone in the area to get vaccinated, if you haven’t yet, and get a booster dose if you’re eligible. To see a list of clinics in the area and book a vaccine appointment, visit the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit website.
