Group gathers to discuss ways to save local agricultural college

A group of concerned farmers, Kemptville College alumni and ag industry stakeholders gathered in the parking lot of the North Grenville Municipal Centre on Sunday to discuss ways to save the local agricultural college. Organizer Bill Smirle invited attendees to sign a motion that will be sent to the Wynne government this week. The motion asks that agriculture, equine, horticulture and arboriculture programs be reinstated at the local campus as well as trades. The group also moved to support the Kemptville College Renewal Task Force in their work to find a sustainable local solution and repeated the demand for a neutral third-party facilitator.
