A local organization is thanking the North Grenville Community Foundation for a $1,500 grant.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Leeds and Grenville, the Brockville-based branch of the national Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada youth charity, received the grant December 1st. The organization supports local youth with both 1-on-1 and group mentoring programs.
The North Grenville Community Foundation is a non-profit group created by members of the community, raising and donating funds to organizations that work within the region.
In a Facebook post, Big Brothers Big Sisters says the money is being put towards purchasing footwear for children the organization supports, and adding more Giving Tree food donation hampers throughout North Grenville.
