As Christmas approaches, the OPP detachment for our community’s eastern neighbors are preparing for their annual food drive.
The Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry OPP detachment has announced that its annual “Stuff a Cruiser” food drive will be held on the 13th of November. The food drive has been run annually for more than ten years, collecting donations for food banks throughout the region.
Police will be collecting donations in several locations, including Winchester, Chesterville, Morrisburg, and Ingleside. Donations from these food drives will go towards Community Food Share, a Winchester-based organization that provides food and other essentials like hygiene and baby products to people who can’t afford them.
The food drives are being held at the Mike Dean’s Local Grocer in Chesterville, Laura’s Valu-Mart in Morrisburg, and the Winchester and Ingleside Foodland storefronts. All the events begin at 9:00 AM and end at 2:00 PM.
