Winchester District Memorial Hospital announces “Dare to Flash a ‘Stache” prostate cancer fundraiser

The Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH) is organizing a fundraiser to support prostate cancer research. The “Dare to Flash a ‘Stache” (DTFAS) fundraiser will see participants growing out their beards and moustaches to raise money for the hospital. The fundraiser is being led by the Black Walnut Group, a local organization that helps survivors of prostate cancer and their families.

As part of the fundraiser, the DTFAS team will be at two live concerts at Stone Crop Acres Winery and Vineyard in Morrisburg. The first concert, scheduled for October 30th, will feature Kingston-based artist Miss Emily, and the November 13th concert will feature a jazz performance by Ottawa’s Roddy Elias Free Spirit Group. Stop by the DTFAS table for more information or to make a donation.

The fundraiser campaign begins on November 1st, but donations are being accepted right now. All the proceeds are being split evenly between the WDMH and the Ottawa Hospital Foundation. For more details, visit the WDMH website.
