Grenville CFDC names Kemptville’s Katie Nolan as next Executive Director

The Grenville Community Futures Development Corporation (CFDC) has selected its next Executive Director. The Prescott-based non-profit has named Kemptville resident Katie Nolan to succeed Heather Lawless, who is retiring from her position as Executive Director in December.

Nolan has an extensive background in economics, having won the “Ontario East Economic Developer of the Year” award from the Ontario East Economic Development Commission in 2019. Nolan, who has a Master’s degree in soil science from the University of British Columbia, has also worked with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs for more than ten years.

Cholly Boland, the chairman for the Grenville CFDC’s board of directors, is excited to bring Nolan into the organization. “Katie Nolan joins Grenville CFDC with a proven track record of rural community economic development and leadership,” Boland says. “She is creative, entrepreneurial and a strategic thinker.”

The Grenville CFDC is a non-profit funded by Southern Ontario’s Federal Economic Development Agency. The organization offers loans, grants, and other services to local business owners. Nolan will take on the role of Executive Director on November 29th.
