North Grenville accepting applications for new Youth Advisory Committee

North Grenville is making changes to give young people a voice in local government. Mayor Nancy Peckford announced today in a Facebook post that the township will be establishing a Youth Advisory Committee. The committee will be made up of people ages 14-23, and the committee will continue until the end of the 2021-22 school year.

The advisory committee will have at least six members, including one student from each local high school. The council’s goal in creating the committee is to improve the way they communicate with young people, get young people engaged and interested in local government, and to help showcase young people making a difference in the community.

The township is accepting applications until October 3rd. Visit the township website for application details.
