North Dundas township announces more than 100 new homes built throughout 2021

North Grenville’s neighbors to the east are experiencing a housing boom.

The township of North Dundas has announced that 105 new homes have already been built in the region over the course of the year. The number is already more than 2020’s total of 87, and almost double the 58 new houses built in North Dundas in 2019.

Mayor Tony Fraser says that the construction boom is because of people looking for something unique in North Dundas. “I’ve asked the question: what is causing this?” says Fraser. “The answer I got was that people are looking for more space, bigger yards, and North Dundas has what they’re looking for…the small community feel, with a variety of amenities, including top notch facilities and parks.”

Mayor Fraser also says that he expects the growth to continue. “For the foreseeable future, I can see this growth staying at an exponential rate,” he says. “I believe the pace of development will be going strong for the next two years.”
