Seaway Surge, others competing in baseball tournament in Kemptville

Some free competitive baseball is coming to Kemptville this weekend.

Baseball Ontario’s August Madness tournament is getting started, and players from Kemptville will be competing with the Seaway Surge. Teams from Whitby, Chatham and Burlington will also be playing.

The Surge’s 14 and under AA and A teams, as well as their 15 and under AA team, will all be playing this weekend.

The games begin on Saturday the 28th, at 8:30 in the morning, at South Gower Park. There are four games scheduled for Saturday in Kemptville, and another three on Sunday starting at 9:00 in the morning. Another game will be played in Brockville at 4:00 in the afternoon on Saturday, at Gainford Park. All the games will be free for fans to watch in-person.

Baseball Ontario is the governing body for amateur baseball in Ontario. The August Madness tournament is Baseball Ontario’s provincial championship competition.
