Rowland Leather is closing its Kemptville location after 12 years. In an interview with the Kemptville Advance owner Michael Rowland said it’s time to simplify administrative duties so that he can get back to his real passion: creating leather works. The Merrickville location of Rowland Leather will remain open, as will Rowland’s new business venture with Rob Thompson – The Kemptville Suites. Rowland isn’t sure what will become of the leather shop space but hints he and Thompson have always wanted to run a cafe.
