Residents of North Grenville will soon get the opportunity to shape the future of the municipality.
A strategic planning process is being launched after council committed to it shortly after the election in 2018, “This is an opportunity for us to collectively plan for the future as we seek to build on our community’s strengths and contend with the high rate of growth in North Grenville,” said Mayor Nancy Peckford.
“Given our fantastic blend of both rural and urban, it is important that we hear from residents throughout our Municipality, including in our rural hamlets, settlement areas, our rural subdivisions as well as those in the Town of Kemptville.”
Residents, businesses along with community groups, and youth can give their input through an online survey on the municipality’s website. There will also be public meetings held so community members can share their ideas in person.
The municipality has hired a consulting firm to help with the process of public input and to help develop the plan that will “illustrate the community’s vision for North Grenville and that will create a roadmap for how to get there.”
