Spencerville Agricultural Society Hosting Spencerville Fair Photo Contest

The Spencerville Agricultural Society is looking for the best photos from the past 165 years of the Spencerville Fair.

The society is hosting a photo contest, asking residents to submit pictures that they feel best represent the fair’s long history.

Executive Director Eric Connell says the goal of the contest is to keep people’s minds on the fair, as they continue planning in hopes of an in-person celebration in September.

“We’re looking for people to share photos from the past 165 years that really make you feel like you’re there and that symbolize the fair to whomever is submitting,” Connell said.

Each participant will have their name entered into a draw to win one of four $50 gift cards to local businesses in Spencerville.

Connell says the contest was needed, as the society was running out of stock photos to advertise the event.

“That’s why this came about,” Connell said. “We really are looking for people to help us advertise the fair and what it means for them, so we really want their content, and we kind of need to use it.”

The deadline to enter the contest is June 29, at 11:59pm, and winners will be announced the following day.

To enter, head to the Spencerville Fair’s website.
