Aquatarium Inviting Residents For Virtual Tours

If you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend, Brockville’s Aquatarium is offering virtual tours.

The Aquatarium is offering opportunities for private groups to experience all that it has to offer, from the comfort of their own space.

Director of Visitor Experience Sarah Laternus says so far, they’ve gotten excellent feedback from customers who’ve taken part.

“This is a really safe way to start experiencing things, and if you’re dying for stimulation and you need something new to do, this is definitely something to put on your COVID-bucket list,” Laternus said.

The tour will take place over Zoom and will include both a pre-recorded tour of our exhibits of Ships and Shipwrecks, Animal Habitats, Secrets of the 1000 Islands and much more.

There will also be live interactions with staff and animals.

Laternus says going forward, they’re also hoping to do virtual tours for younger audiences.

“We’re currently working on a classroom age private tour for kids from kindergarten to grade six,” Laternus said. “That’s really exciting and we’re just putting the finishing touches on it.”

Virtual Tours take place at 10:45 a.m. Fridays through Tuesdays and run for approximately 45 minutes.

More information can be found on the Aquatarium’s website.
