Perhaps the most famous farm animal of this holiday season is Peaches the Pig. Rescued from the meat market right before Christmas, Peaches is now awaiting her permanent home. It was Peaches’ bright eyes and perky ears in a photograph on a Kijiji sale ad that first won the heart of her rescuer, Chelsey Donohue. Donohue bought Peaches and found her shelter until a new owner can be found who will keep her as a pet.
