OFSC Shuts Down Majority Of Southern Trails

Snowmobile season is over for Kemptville residents.

The OFSC says they are ending their snowmobile operations for many of their southern districts, due to the mild and rainy weather experienced across the province.

Trail Coordinator for the Kemptville Snowmobile Club Bruce Robinson says they are also asking riders to respect landowners by staying off red trails.

“I was looking at the provincial map and there’s not many more opportunities left for snowmobile trails,” Robinson said. “Matawa had a bit, Cochrane as well, but pretty much we are closed across the province.”

Robinson says they look forward to celebrating the club’s 50th anniversary next season.
