A new talk show is looking to help residents learn more about the local business community.
LoveNG Live is a community-based initiative, created to promote local businesses and bring us the stories behind North Grenville’s entrepreneurs.
With hosts, Hilary Thomson and Daren Givoque, the show will be broadcast live weekly, providing a platform for business leaders, or people representing local charities and organizations.
“There’s so many businesses, I was almost shocked when we had our first discussions on this,” Givoque said during a virtual press conference. “There are over 2,000 businesses locally that many people probably don’t know about. So, it’s exciting to bring these stories forward, and maybe entertain people, have a few laughs, and make some connections.”
The show will be live-streamed through the LoveNG website, Kemptville Community Bulletin Board Facebook group and through other pages and groups.
Thomson says there are so many great stories out there from local businesses, and they want to be able to shine a light on them.
“I’ve lived here for just over six years, and I’ve talked to a lot of them,” she said. “They all have such great backgrounds and such enthusiasm for their business, and that’s what I really look forward to tapping into with LoveNG Live.”
Thomson adds there is a selection committee for the show, and any businesses interested in taking part can reach out to LoveNG Live.
The first episode airs on March 22nd.
