Jason Moore of North Gower is hoping to pay homage to his grandfather with the renaming of the local bowling alley. Gerry Lines played an integral part in bringing sports and recreation to the Ottawa South community. At the long-time resident’s memorial services in March, Lines was remembered for his dedicated efforts to bring the community centre, baseball diamonds and bowling alley to town. Moore has making a formal request to the City of Ottawa for the renaming and will find out in the new year if it has been approved.
