Rob Thompson Hotels has pivoted their boutique hotel business model to sustain during the pandemic.

Rob Thompson says they dropped their rates, did an aggressive sales push and surprisingly have done quite well during this time.

According to a media release, a limited number of suites with in-room amenities (example: you can prepare food or order in comfortably) are reserved online or by phone with no check-in process. Suites are supplied with additional linens, water, snacks, etc. based on the number of nights booked, so there’s no interaction with housekeeping during the stay. A top to bottom cleaning and sanitization process happens after each stay, before the next guests’ arrival.

Thompson says the boutique hotel at 48 King West in Brockville was a great alternative for people looking for a short-term getaway from home. Thompson is offering a $25 gift certificate for every stay (to be spent at participating businesses) to support struggling downtown Brockville Businesses.

“Everyone is still hurting during this pandemic so if we can sweeten the deal for people to stay and shop or dine at our downtown businesses, all the better.”

Rob Thompson Hotels offer two and four person accommodations. There are seven suites at 48 King West in Brockville. Kemptville Suites is on Clothier Street East with seven suites too, featuring exposed stone walls and timber structure.
