Doctor Mark Bastianelli joins WDMH team

The Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH) is welcoming Doctor Mark Bastianelli to their team.

The hospital says Doctor Bastianelli is an ear, nose, and throat (ENT) specialist and is setting up a full-time practice in Winchester after an early return from a fellowship in Australia when the forest fires and the COVID-19 pandemic arrived.

Doctor Bastianelli completed an undergraduate degree at the University of Ottawa and a medical degree at McGill University, then came back to Ottawa to do his ENT residency. WDMH says he also did a surgical fellowship in Australia, specializing in sinus surgery and skull-base surgery. Doctor Bastianelli’s specialities include expertise in sinus and nasal disease; thyroid and parathyroid disease; lumps and bumps in the head and neck; voice disorders, and ear disorders.

Doctor Bastianelli says he did several rotations in Winchester and got familiar with it and quite quickly realized it would be a fantastic place to work and says he looks forward to adding to the community atmosphere at WDMH.

His office is in the Community Care Building behind the hospital. A referral is required from a patient’s family doctor or another specialist.
