GooseChase app scavenger hunt happening on Canada Day in North Grenville

You can go on a scavenger hunt on Canada Day thanks to an app.

The Kemptville District Community Association and community partners are letting the public know about the GooseChase app to compete for prizes on Canada Day.

Jacki Doucette says there are missions in the game for participants to complete.

“So for missions, sometimes they’ll be submitting a photo or a video while other times they’ll be checking in at specific locations, or solving a puzzle or riddle.”

Doucette says there will also be trivia included and each mission will be point based. The more missions you complete, the more points you get and there will be a first, second and third place prize. Doucette also says they have over 100 other prizes to give away as well that day.

The GooseChase app is free to download and just an email address is needed to sign in. Once in, the game code is QMG1ZG and you pick a username. The game will start on July first and will run from 10:00am to 3:00pm. Doucette says players can start and stop whenever they want in those five hours.
