The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit is now reporting 52 confirmed cases of COVID-19, as of 2:30pm today.
This represents an increase of 12 new cases from yesterday.
The first COVID-19 related deaths in the region were made public on Tuesday. The Health Unit says a man and woman, both older with underlying health issues, died from the infection.
The Health Unit is currently dealing with outbreaks at three long-term care facilities, in Almonte, Perth and Carleton Place.
