The TISS Pirates are the champs of the Upper Canada Cup.
Thousand Islands Secondary School triumphed over Rideau District High School 41 to 36 November 18th to take the Upper Canada Cup Junior Girls Basketball Championship. The TISS Pirates were led by a strong performance from guard Bronwin O’Connor, who posted 18 points.
The tournament was held as part of the Upper Canada Sports League, a board-based league created to provide additional athletic opportunities for Upper Canada District School Board students.
