OTF to give $45,000 to Kemptville District Little League to rehabilitate ball diamond

The Ontario Trillium Foundation will give $45,000 to the Kemptville District Little League. The grant will be used to rehabilitate an aging ball diamond at South Gower Park which has been unusable and unsafe for a number of years. The diamond, located in the middle of a number of soccer fields, is missing covered dugouts, enclosed bullpens, an enclosed batting cage, outfield fencing, and the correct
infield fill. These improvements are scheduled to be completed later this spring, allowing play on this diamond in the upcoming season and ready to host the 2014 Little League Ontario Junior Division Championship in July. Leeds Grenville MPP Steve Clark is expected to attend the Committee of the Whole on Tuesday, April 22nd to present the grant.
