Free skate and movie happening on Family Day

The Kemptville Kinsmen is gearing up for its annual Family Day event. The local group is hosting a free skate and movie at the North Grenville Municipal Centre on February 17. 

The Angry Birds 2 movie is playing at 10:30am and again at 2:00pm, with skating in between, from 12:00 noon to 1:50pm. Tickets will be available starting at 10:00am. 

Organizer Dave Walter says the Kinsmen will be serving up free hot dogs and hot chocolate. He noted the municipal centre has a skate & helmet lending library on site, if people need to borrow equipment. Walter explained there is no cost, but the Kinsmen will be accepting donations. 

He says the Kinsmen is a group of local business owners and residents who just want to give back to the community. All the money raised by the Kinsmen goes back to local causes, according to Walter. 

eQ Homes is the title sponsor for the event again this year and B&H Grocer supplies all the food.
