Strikes to impact UCDSB schools again on Monday, Tuesday

The Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO) is planning another week of strikes. Contract talks between the union and government haven’t progressed.

The ETFO, which represents 83,000 educators across the province, announced one-day rotating strikes for Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, along with a province-wide walkout on Tuesday.

The Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB) will be impacted on Monday and Tuesday.

The board says there will be no classes or transportation for students in kindergarten to grade eight. Classes will resume as usual for elementary students on Wednesday. Students in grades nine to 12 will not be impacted.

The UCDSB is asking parents and guardians to make alternative child care arrangements.
