EMS called to North Grenville District High School for cardiac emergency

Sirens and fire engines got the attention of many people in Old Town Kemptville Monday afternoon. First responders were called to North Grenville District High School to attend to a male youth who was having difficulty breathing. North Grenville Fire Chief Paul Hutt explains sometimes it’s ambulance, sometimes fire, sometimes police first on scene in a medical emergency. Fire Service personnel assisted EMS with a male patient who appeared to be in cardiac distress. They did CPR and used a defibrillator and the patient was taken to hospital.
